How to apply for undergraduate study

You can quickly complete your application by following these simple steps:

1. Choose your degree

Explore our comprehensive range of degrees using our Study at Griffith page. Here, you can search by degree, career or course and find everything you need to know, from prerequisites and course options to fees, how to apply and credit transfer.

2. Check requirements, fees and scholarships

You’ll need to meet admission requirements to apply for an undergraduate degree. Some degrees have higher entry requirements, specific prerequisites or require the submission of portfolios and/or interviews.

First, check the entry requirements for your chosen degree, looking for the ATAR or required selection rank, subject prerequisite requirements and any other prerequisites. This information can be found in the How to Apply section of the Degree Finder entry.

3. Submit your application

The application process should take you about 15 minutes. Visit either the  in Queensland or the  in New South Wales.

We recommend that you apply either via QTAC or UAC, not both. If you're eligible, you'll still receive your offer with us, and you'll save on application fees. Not all degrees are on offer via UAC, so please check the degrees on offer before submitting your application.

Most students will apply through QTAC or UAC, although we do offer some direct admission options for TAFE Diploma and Adult Tertiary Preparation graduates into specific degrees and First Peoples Direct Admission for mature students—please get in touch with us if you need help.

5. Enrol and get ready to learn

If you choose to accept your offer, you’ll receive a welcome email outlining the steps you need to take to enrol.

We’re more than happy to help you with this process, so feel free to contact us if you need support or visit the Managing your enrolment website.

The Starting@Griffith email includes your enrolment link and will be emailed to the email address you provided in your TAC application.

Make sure you enrol as soon as you can. If you don’t meet the deadline your offer will lapse. Lapsed offers are not automatically reinstated and for some programs reinstatement is not possible.

Our Credit Guarantee

If you already have a diploma or degree, you will be guaranteed at least 40 credit points (CP), or six months of full-time study, towards your eligible undergraduate Griffith degree - for studies completed in the past 10 years at time of application.

If you’ve completed a Certificate III or IV, you may be able to access up to 20 CP. So, whatever your experience, you can use it to go further, faster, at Griffith. Visit the Credit transfer website for more information.

Prerequisites and assumed knowledge

Some degrees, including laws, education, paramedicine and occupational therapy, have subject prerequisites as a condition of admission. These are subjects鈥攊n areas such as English, maths and science鈥攖hat you must have completed successfully in order to gain entry into a degree. If you have not successfully completed a prerequisite subject for your desired degree, you'll need to undertake a bridging course to meet the entry requirement.
