VET pathways

If you completed a Certificate III, IV or Diploma you may meet the rank for admission to your degree. Applicants with a completed TAFE Diploma or Certificate of Adult Tertiary Preparation may be eligible to apply directly to Griffith.

Bridging and enabling programs, including EmpowerED

Bridging courses can help you meet subject prerequisites. In addition, enabling programs can provide pathways to university study if you don鈥檛 have the formal qualifications to enter an undergraduate degree. Some programs e.g. the EmpowerED University Preparation program offers guaranteed admission into a variety of Griffith University's eligible programs.

Whether you're studying for an ATAR, IB Diploma or VET qualification, we offer a range of guaranteed admission schemes including the Year 12 Early Offer Guarantee, ATAR/Rank Guarantee, Griffith University Head Start Guarantee and the VET Guarantee for those who complete an AQF Certificate III or above.

Special Tertiary Admissions Test (STAT) and employment experience

If you're not a current school leaver, are over 18 and don't have formal qualifications, you may be eligible for admission to Griffith based on completing the Special Tertiary Admissions Test (STAT) or your employment experience.

Single course of study

Completing a minimum of two courses (degree subjects) can provide you with a selection rank for entry into an undergraduate degree and meets the English subject prerequisite.

First Peoples Direct Admission

If you are a mature Aboriginal or Torres Strait Islander interested in enrolling in a Griffith degree, you have the option to apply for Direct Admission. You are considered a mature student if you are 18 or older and not a current school leaver.

First Peoples Health Pathway

If you do not meet the admission requirements for your chosen health degree, you may be eligible for the First Peoples Health Pathway. This pathway applies to a range of competitive degrees in Clinical Exercise Physiology, Dentistry, Medicine, Midwifery, Occupational Therapy, Paramedicine, Physiotherapy, Psychology and Speech Pathology.

Rural Priority Access Scheme

Be part of the next generation of healthcare professionals who understand the issues facing rural communities. If you have lived in a regional or remote area for at least 5 years consecutively or 10 years cumulatively, you may be eligible for a priority place in dentistry or medicine at Griffith.
