Create your ProctorU account

If you are new to ProctorU, please follow the below instructions.

  1. Click to access ProctorU via Single Sign-On
  2. Click on the 'Don't have an existing account? Link to a new account'
  3. You will be asked to complete the account creation form

Test your equipment

  1. Required equipment:
    1. laptop or desktop computer (ProctorU does not work on Microsoft Surface tablets, iPads etc)
    2. webcam
    3. speakers
    4. microphone
  2. Download the Guardian browser. The Guardian browser is the only browser that you can use with ProctorU. for Windows OS or Mac OS.
  3. Copy URL () into the Guardian browser and login with Single Sign-On
  4. On the ProctorU homepage, click the Test Your Equipment icon
  5. Review the feedback on the equipment checks to ensure your equipment is ready for the exam

Watch This is a demonstration of how you can use ProctorU's 'Test It Out' process to verify your system meets all technical requirements before your exam. Note, this is different to the Practice Test. Both should be completed to ensure you are prepared for your exam.

When testing through the ProctorU platform, you will need a computer that fulfills the following system requirements.

Schedule your exams

  1. Check on the Schedule New Session icon on the ProctorU homepage
  2. Select the current term: e.g. Trimester 1 2025/Study Session 1 2025
  3. Select your exam: Practice Test or Final Exam for your course
  4. Click Find Sessions
  5. Choose the date and time (within the exam window outlined on your personal exam timetable), then Submit
  6. Click Select on the desired timeslot and click Schedule. Then, click on I agree to the Terms and Conditions above. Note: You can reschedule your exam to another time during the exam window, up until 48 hours prior to the exam start time.

Important: Practice Test

  • Students are required to register for the Practice Test via the dedicated (from Week 10)
  • Students who participate in the Practice Test are less likely to experience issues on the day of their exam
  • Students who do not complete the Practice Test and experience technical difficulties during their Final Exam may not be eligible for a deferred exam
  • Students must register for the Practice Test and their Final Exam at least 48 hours prior to the test/exam
