What is Big Interview?
Big Interview is an external tool that helps students build job-readiness skills through features like mock interviews, industry-specific question banks, and AI-powered feedback. It’s designed to boost student confidence and employability in real-world interview scenarios.
Big Interview offers several features, including:
- immediate feedback and guidance on key aspects of their interview answers
- reporting tools to help measure user learning and progress
- online modules to further develop skills
- virtual mock interviews for all experience levels and dozens of industries
- access to thousands of interview questions with tips on how best to answer them
- the ability to rate and share interview answers for feedback
- a comprehensive video training curriculum
- a step-by-step interview answer builder, designed for crafting answers to behavioural questions.
Virtual interview training is free for all Griffith students and staff.
How Can I Use It in My Course?
Big Interview is integrated into Canvas via LTI, allowing you to embed mock interview activities directly into your course site. Common use cases include:
- Practice for placement or graduate job interviews
- Employability tasks within capstone or career development units
- Optional skill-building resources for students
There’s no formal request process, course convenors can choose to include Big Interview and access guidance from support teams as needed.
How Do I Get Started?
- Plan your approach with advice from the Student Experience and Employability (SEE) team.
- Enable Big Interview in Canvas with help from the Academic Assist (CCEE) team.
- Embed activities into your Canvas site and direct students to access the tool via single sign-on.
