The Centre currently employs over 20 highly trained staff on contract research projects, fellowships and research grants, with expertise, extensive and in-depth experience in economic evaluations, health economics and analytics, evidence-based medicine, biostatistics, data management and epidemiology and its application to real world situations.
For over 18 years, the Centre has been providing contract research for government, non-government organisations and industry. Closely associated with the School of Medicine and Dentistry, CAHE has direct access to clinical and health management professionals from a wide range of disciplines.

Director
Professor Josh Byrnes as Director of the Centre for Applied Health Economics, is responsible for building Griffith University's already strong program of health research, developing partnerships and leading research aimed at improving health and healthcare, and impacting policy and practice globally. Josh has expertise in economics, health economics and critical appraisal of economic evaluations. He is also highly experienced in trial design, health technology assessment, economic evaluation of healthcare programs including cost-effectiveness and cost-utility modelling, systematic reviews, project management and biostatistics.
