Planning your next move after receiving your ATAR

Sometimes ATAR results aren’t quite what you’d hoped for, or you may have a change of heart after submitting your university application. Either way, we’re here to help you figure out your next move.

Between 12 – 23 December 2025, our team will be online to chat with you about your study options and how to make the most of your results - no matter what they look like.

Adjustment calculator

The ATAR you receive isn't always the ATAR Griffith University considers. In fact, your entry rank could be boosted by up to 8.00 points depending on a range of factors including where you live, your background and what you've studied. That's why Griffith has developed an online Adjustment Factor Calculator, so you can confidently see where you stand and maximise your chances of getting into your dream degree.

Changing your preferences

If you’re rethinking your study path, there’s still time to change your QTAC or UAC preferences after you have submitted your application. You can change your preferences up to three times for free—any further changes will attract a fee.

You might like to change your preferences if:

  • you have changed your mind about your ideal degree
  • your ATAR is higher or lower than you were expecting
  • you want to include a pathway degree which you can use to upgrade in to your preferred degree later.
