Griffith University Swim Club provides an exciting environment for competitive swimmers aged 13 and up to pursue their love of swimming, whether aiming for personal bests or international podiums. The Club offers a full development pathway through three distinct squad levels, supporting athletes from emerging talent to high performance.

We are  fortunate to have a world class coaching staff lead by former olympians: Head coach Mel Marshal OLY, and supported by Olympic coach  Janelle Pallister OLY and multi Olympian Tom Fraser-Holmes OLY. Since it's inception in 2017  Griffith University Swim Club has produced twenty olympic medals! 9 gold, 4 silver, 7 bronze.

The high performance squad entry is determined by the Griffith University Swim Club head coach.

Schedule: More than 9 sessions weekly

Janelle Pallister

National Squad

The national squad is open national age and open level swimmers by invitation from the coach only.

Coach: Tom Fraser-Holmes, Griffith University Swim Club National Coach

Schedule: 9 pool sessions weekly + 2 gym sessions

National Development Squad

Our national development squad lead by Brett Shanks caters to State level and National Age qualifying swimmers, from age 13.
