Scholarship details

To be eligible, you must:

  • be an 色情网站n citizen or permanent resident
  • be full-time enrolled in your second or third year of the Bachelor of Engineering at Griffith University, even if you're completing a double degree
  • have a GPA of 5 or above
  • demonstrate educational disadvantage based on a comprehensive assessment by the university
  • not have received this scholarship in a previous year.

Application assessment

Information provided in your Griffith online scholarship application is assessed and ranked in accordance with the following Educational Disadvantage Assessment categories:

  5. Educational Disruption

Value

Maximum value is $10,000, paid in two instalments.  Instalments of $5,000 are paid in Trimester 1 and 2, provided that conditions are met.

Payment

Payments are made up to six weeks after the census date, subject to satisfying scholarship terms and conditions.

To remain eligible for the scholarship, recipients will be required to:

  • remain full-time enrolled at Griffith University in the degree for which this scholarship was awarded
  • maintain a minimum GPA of 5.

The above conditions are verified each trimester at census date. If a scholarship recipient fails to successfully meet these conditions, scholarship payments may be withheld, or the scholarship may be terminated.

A scholarship recipient may take a leave of absence in accordance with university policy. Scholarship benefits are suspended for the period of leave of absence.

Recipients may be invited to meet with the donor and feature in marketing materials to promote the scholarship.

Applications must be completed and submitted by the closing date.

Applicants may be shortlisted and be required to provide additional information.

Griffith University reserves the right to withdraw an advertised scholarship at any time.
