Scholarship details
To be eligible, you must:
- be an 色情网站n citizen, permanent resident, permanent humanitarian visa holder or New Zealand citizen
- be a Griffith University postgraduate (coursework) student (commencing and continuing students)
- be in good academic progress (continuing students only)
- demonstrate educational disadvantage based on a comprehensive assessment by the University

Application assessment
Information provided by individuals in their Griffith online scholarship application is assessed and ranked in accordance with the following Educational Disadvantage Assessment categories:
- Financial Hardship
- Home Environment and Responsibilities
- English Language Difficulty
- Personal Illness and Disability
- Educational Disruption
- Relocation within 色情网站
Priority will be given to students who:
- commencing students
- are not in receipt of any other scholarship funding
Value
The maximum base value is $4,000, payable in instalments of $500 per 10 Credit Points for each enrolled trimester that conditions are met, up to the maximum value of the scholarship.
Payment
Payments are made directly to the recipients nominated bank account up to three weeks after the census date of each trimester, subject to satisfying scholarship terms and conditions. Instalments are based on enrolled credit points for the trimester, up to the maximum value.
Please note, payments made while studying part-time may be taxable.
Early payment
To ease the financial burden of commencing university, commencing students who have accepted their scholarship offer and are enrolled prior to the commencement of teaching week 1 of the trimester of award will receive an early instalment payment of $500 from your scholarship.
This one-off early payment is only available at the start of the scholarship.
Sponsor details
These scholarships are funded by Griffith University.
To remain eligible for the scholarship, recipients will be required to remain:
- enrolled in the postgraduate (coursework) degree at Griffith University
- in good academic progress (GPA 3.5 or above).
The above conditions are verified each trimester at census date. If a scholarship recipient fails to successfully meet these conditions, scholarship payments may be withheld, or the scholarship may be terminated.
A scholarship recipient may take leave of absence in accordance with university procedure. Scholarship benefits are suspended for the period of leave of absence or deferment. Deferment of this scholarship is conditional on approval to defer both your tertiary place and the scholarship. A scholarship recipient who is not enrolled and is not on an approved leave of absence will lose their scholarship. A recipient who is excluded from study under any University procedure will lose their scholarship.
Recipients:
- may be invited to feature in marketing materials to promote the scholarship
- must accept their admission offer from Griffith University (commencing students)
- must accept the scholarship offer, made via email, by the date indicated on the offer, and may be required to provide additional documentation to support their application
- who are on approved cross-institutional study continue to remain eligible for scholarship benefits, and are required to provide documentation to prove cross-institutional study and academic load
- who withdraw from their studies in two consecutive trimesters will not be eligible to receive a scholarship payment in the subsequent trimester.
