Griffith University's campuses, located at the Gold Coast, Logan, Brisbane South (Mt Gravatt, Nathan) and Brisbane City (South Bank), have state-of-the-art facilities designed to enable improved disaster management and resilience decision support. These are used for research and scenario planning, as well as activation training for disaster response and recovery.

The Disaster and Resilience Management Facility DRMF (building N79) is available for exercises and simulated responses to disaster events.

Big Data and Smart Analytics Lab
Gold Coast
The Big Data and Smart Analytics Lab is located on Griffith's Gold Coast campus, providing a high performance computing environment for the School of Information and Communication Technology. Research priorities span social media sentiment analysis for disaster response and recovery efforts, improving the predictive power of big data analytics, and creating smarter and faster algorithms to perform deep learning on large volumes of data in real-time.
Social Data Analytics Lab
Brisbane South (Nathan)
The Social Analytics Lab is a custom-built, secure research facility housed at Griffith University to store, manage and analyse sensitive administrative data for research and teaching. Underpinned by industry standard security protocols that enable the storage of individual level data, Social Analytics Lab offers a unique platform where cutting edge academic research can be applied to the complex real world problems of a rapidly evolving 21st-century society.
Healthcare Training Facilities
Brisbane South (Nathan), Logan and Gold Coast
Through the School of Nursing and Midwifery, Griffith University has fully fitted healthcare environments that can be used for scenario enactment, including emergency response. Enabled by a world-class team of academics and researchers, Griffith has facilities for training and capacity building.
