Once your acceptance is finalised, here are the next steps you need to make to organise your move to É«ÇéÍøÕ¾. Whether you are studying at Griffith University or Griffith English Language Institute, we have some great tips to help you get started.
Before you arrive
Applying for your visa is an important first step to ensure you arrive in time for orientation. You also need to understand the conditions of your visa and become familiar with your health insurance policy.
When you arrive
We recommend arriving in É«ÇéÍøÕ¾ at least two weeks ahead of Orientation Week to give yourself enough time to settle in. Please make sure you have secured temporary accommodation before you arrive, so you have the safety of having a place to live. Your focus once you arrive in É«ÇéÍøÕ¾ should be on recovering from jet lag and to familiarise yourself with your new surroundings.

Set up your Griffith student systems
We have set you up with a personalised student portal, myGriffith. You should have received an email with the subject line ‘Your Information for Starting at Griffith’, which has instructions on how to set up your password and log in to your myGriffith account.
Complete the myOrientation module
Once you have set up your myGriffith account, you will need to complete the myOrientation module, which will show you how to:
- Enrol in courses
- Get your student ID
- Set up student systems
- Access your email and;
- Plan for Orientation.

Compulsory International Student Orientation
Join us on campus at a compulsory welcome and orientation session during O-Week. Meet your International Student Advisors, connect with your peers, meet the Griffith Mates and learn about life on campus.
All new international students must attend one of the compulsory sessions listed here in the tabs, according to your campus and Orientation schedule. This includes full degree, study abroad, exchange and international Higher Degree by Research (HDR) students.
