Why is this study being conducted?
The purpose of this trial is to test a potential new treatment for insomnia. The trial will find out what effects, good or bad, this potential treatment has on insomnia.
Who is eligible to participate in this study?
You may be eligible if you:
- Are 18 years or older
- Suffer from insomnia, with symptoms persisting for at least 3 months
- Do not have other sleep-wake disorders such as narcolepsy, parasomnia or restless leg syndrome
Applicants who express interest in participating in this study will be reviewed and contacted as other requirement criteria must also be met.
What happens during the study?聽
Trial site visits will occur at the Griffith University Clinical Trial Unit on the Gold Coast.
Trial duration will be around 4 months and participants will have at least 4 trial visits
You will take two capsules of either the study drug or placebo daily for 8 weeks during the trial.
You will have 4 safety phone calls.
Volunteer to participate
Participation in this study is completely voluntary, and participants can decide to withdraw at any time.
Eligible participants will be reimbursed for their travel expenses associated with each study visit.
