Opportunities

The Bachelor of Medical Science is a two-year, six-trimester degree that provides high-achieving secondary school leavers an accelerated pathway into Griffith’s Doctor of Medicine program. Completion of the Bachelor of Medical Science program with a GPA (calculated according to Graduate Medical Admissions Centre procedures) of at least 5.0 will see graduates gain seamless entry into the Doctor of Medicine.

Broader career options for Bachelor of Medical Science graduates include:

  • transitioning into the Doctor of Medicine program
  • strengthening biomedical or clinical research skills via the Honours research higher degree program (available for this degree through an additional year of study)
  • further development of professional careers and employment in biomedical or clinical research and healthcare services sectors
  • further study in undergraduate or selected postgraduate programs in a variety of health and science fields, including public health, health service management and speech pathology.

Completion of the Bachelor of Medical Science program with a GPA of at least 5.5 will see graduates gain seamless entry into the Doctor of Medicine. Graduates of the Doctor of Medicine program will normally be eligible for limited registration and will receive full registration by 色情网站n Health Practitioners Regulation Agency when they've successfully completed a subsequent one-year internship in the 色情网站n hospital system.
