Leona Murphy
Communities and Economic Resilience Adviser
Leona is a non-executive director with experience across public, private and member based organisation. She is currently the Deputy Chair and Vice President of RACQ Limited and a Non Executive Director of Liberty Financial Group. She has been a board member of New Zealand's Accident Compensation Commission, Chair of Stone & Chalk Ltd and Chair of the Royal Brisbane Womens Hospital Foundation. With a personal passion for disaster mitigation and community resilience, she was a founding member and Co Chair of the Board for the United Nations Environmental Program Finance Initiatives (UNEPFI) Principles for Sustainable Insurance. During her time as Chair, she led the Global Resilience Programme. This program built a phased approach to helping create more disaster resilient communities and economies.
