Kalara McGregor is an environmental and social safeguards specialist, with over 15 years' experience working on infrastructure and rural development projects in the Asia-Pacific region.
She has worked across the public and private sector in project management and capacity building roles for climate change information management. She has also undertaken land use planning and environmental and social impact assessments for tourism and agriculture development projects across Southeast Asia and the Pacific island region. Kalara is particularly interested in the complex sustainable development issues faced by emerging economies navigating climate risk and the transition to climate resilient development.
