Elevator Pitch: My research seeks to rework the pro-ecological wisdom and live storytelling of oral tradition for a contemporary audience. This resulted in a one-man pro-environmental retelling of Gilgamesh utilizing rap, animation, and audience participation via mobile phones. The retelling’s playfulness prevented the crucial message from becoming preachy, thus maintaining audience engagement.
