Working title of Thesis: Ecological Restoration as a Natural Climate Solution for Regenerative Tourism in Aotearoa New Zealand.

Supervisor/s: Professor James Higham, Professor Brendan Mackey, Professor Lisa Ellis

Elevator Pitch: My research is about how we can begin to tackle environmental issues and finding responses to them in tourism. By drawing on recent work by environmental philosophers, my research attempts to provide evidence that ecological restoration (e.g. green and blue carbon) can respond to regenerative tourism that supports climate and biodiversity outcomes. This research will break new ground by forging the climate-biodiversity nexus and creating conditions for dialogues between Western and Maori knowledge.
