Prof Rod Welford
Innovation and Technology Adviser
Rod is the CEO of Integrated Resource Planners, a Brisbane sustainability strategy advisory firm and Adjunct Professor in Sustainable Enterprise in the Griffith Business School.
He is a thought leader in multiple dimensions of sustainability including leadership and strategy for sustainable business, and energy policy and management for the energy transition to a low carbon future.
As an experienced leader and strong business strategy professional in both Government and the private sector, he was previously a Queensland Government Minister for more than 10 years, including as a trail-blazing Minister for Environment and Heritage and Minister for Natural Resources. After retiring from Parliament, Rod has held roles as Chief Executive of the É«ÇéÍøÕ¾n Council of Recycling, Executive Chairman of Ensight Energy Solutions and served as a board member of several public and private companies.
His qualifications include Bachelor of Arts (Honours), Bachelor of Laws, Master of Science (Environmental Management), Master of Energy Management and Graduate Diploma of Industrial Relations.
