Working title of Thesis: Microbial communities and greenhouse gas fluxes in coastal wetland soils.

Elevator Pitch: In mangroves, even a small amount of excess nutrients can affect productivity. My study examined nutrient concentrations and microbial communities in mangroves near urban areas and agriculture. We found higher nutrient levels and lower microbial diversity, especially during the rainy season. Microorganisms, responding quickly to environmental changes, can serve as bioindicators to identify early impacts on mangrove ecosystems and improve management strategies.
