Charu Maini
Research Hub Coordinator
Charu is the Research Hub Coordinator at the Climate Action Beacon (CAB), where she plays a central role in ensuring the smooth operation and administration of the Beacon and its Climate Ready Initiative (CRI). She provides high-level support to senior staff and actively contributes to strategic planning, finance management, and resource coordination across projects and initiatives. Charu also supports operational activities by ensuring compliance with university systems, processes, and policies, and collaborates with theme leaders, researchers, and hub staff on managing and maintaining the CAB website and digital platforms.
Charu holds a Master of Global Public Health from Griffith University and brings a strong blend of administrative and research experience with a commitment to public health and research coordination. Her expertise spans finance systems, event coordination, survey implementation, and stakeholder engagement. Charu’s attention to detail, problem-solving skills, and ability to manage multiple priorities efficiently are integral to CAB’s functioning.
Charu is passionate about delivering real-world impact through public health and climate-focused research. She brings a strong commitment to delivering efficient, values-driven project coordination. She is deeply respected by her CAB colleagues and external partners for her professionalism, exceptional problem-solving abilities, and strong social intelligence, which allow her to navigate complex environments with insight and diplomacy. With a particular interest in project management within the areas of mental health and climate health, she looks forward to expanding her contributions in these fields.
