Lindsay’s work in international economic development spans 40 years, during which time he has participated in the economic transformation of asia-pacific the emergence of middle income diversified economies. He has focused on the interaction of consumption-natural resources-economic development including working from with early Global Environment Fund biodiversity initiatives within the PRC, Indonesia, Sri Lanka and Bangladesh, ladn degradation in western china, coral reef and coastal management, the integration of climate change in infrastructure planning and design, and the monetisation of carbon through forest conservation. He has been contracted to undertake independent portfolio performance assessment for multilateral financial institution, policy and program design in environment and sustainability that include cross border investment programs.

He works in multidisciplinary teams, often in leadership roles, adapting integrative approaches to complex problems within environmental, social, economic, and political imperatives. He has developed and maintained involvement in rural development, agribusiness growth, tourism and multinational food supply chains. He continues to work independently in program and investment project design for multilateral, bilateral and private sector clients focusing on transitional change processes for targeted beneficiaries.
